Sustainability

One of the important values of our company is the respect and saving of our natural environment. Guided by our sustainability strategy, and thus also our environmental strategy, the central message of “Our Common Future”, which was formulated in the document issued by the United Nations Brundtland Committee in 1987: “Sustainable development is a development that meets the needs of the present, without compromising the chances of future generations to meet their own needs.”

In line with this commitment, we continuously strive to prevent and minimize the adverse environmental impacts of the company’s activities in our operations and business.  That is why we have introduced a strategy that aims not only to reduce our energy and paper consumption, but also to minimise the company’s direct and – more importantly – the indirect ecological footprint.

Our environmental strategy is based on the following principles:

  • the application of a supply chain management system for all products and services;
  • incorporation of environmental aspects.

In order to integrate the social and ecological aspects better into our daily business activities, we have identified the following priorities within the environmental strategy:

  • climate protection and sustainable use of natural resources: increasing use of renewable energy; improving energy efficiency; and reducing the volume of business trips by increasing the use of telephone and video conferences;
  • enforcing ecological aspects in case of making purchasing decisions through supply chain management
  • Obtaining an environmental certificate (e.g. OEKO-Tex®)
